I must warn you that I've been thinking about this blog post for a while. I have no idea if this comes out right or I don’t get myself into trouble. Basically this is my corner of the net to post and talk about whatever comes to mind. I know this is a blog about sci-fi and fantasy and cool things. I know this and I know too that people don’t like it if mention things like politics and the President. I know this because I see it and I am on Twitter. This post is also going to talk about how often Geekdom and Presents will be posted.

So the Inauguration happened, and now for the next four years we are stuck with Trump. While some people out there love that and just can’t wait to “Make America Great Again”, and then there are some that actually don’t want to happen. While I’m more of a person that is Democrat I will say that no one person is powerful. That is the beauty of our system and the founding Fathers came up with the idea of this country.

There is another thing too that people are failing to mention and or I think see. The kids today only watch what a few channels to begin with. Majority of those channels show diversity. They go to school and they treat each other with respect and kindness. Now it doesn’t always work that way. Daniel my son who is 6 years old broke his ankle. Actually, the tibia bone and is in a cast. He thought that a few kids at lunchtime were picking on him. While they have a zero policy on bullying the staff wanted him to go and tell not us. Which it was eventually handled but I’m just using this story to show that it’s not a perfect world. People will be people, act and behave as they want to.  The thing is though we are moving the ball little by little. Yet, if you look at time a little bit soon becomes a lot.

We shouldn’t sit on the sidelines neither we should stand and fight. Make voices heard, and yet we shouldn’t go through the streets like mad things taking a part cities and destroying property. That is when the message isn’t about retaliation but peace. Imagine you are a Jew in World War 2 era. Let’s say for a second that they had social media and they did demonstrate against Hitler. If they had destroyed things and made a mess of things no one would pay attention. It would have hurt the cause. It’s all I’m saying.

Now on to blog matters. I am thinking that the first week of the month will be the posting of Presents. I plan on each of the first week have a movie for that month. During that month I hope to be able to have kind of a watch party through twitter. Where we sit and watch the film and chat about it. Could be fun. That leaves GeekDom. Which I think is going to be expanded on. We are going to add comic book characters and those worlds but I am also going to talk about films and other geek properties into the mix. As I think that would be fun, and keep it interesting. If you have any movie thoughts or fandom’s out there that would be interesting or like to see covered do hit me up on the comments or can always hit me up on twitter.

I’d like to say in closing that I think that the next four years Sci-fi and fantasy are going to be the go too’s. The influence of these properties and fandom’s are going to grow even more. People are looking for hope and need that fire to go against those that are in power. Sure we are going to take hits this is true. Saw this during Bush administration. The cool thing is though that out there their are tons of places to put content. Some are free and some are pay. One thing though is that corporate world and corporate minded people only care about is one thing, money. Geek Entertainment is huge money.
