"The Dark Tower'

The Man in Black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.

That is the opening sentence to Stephen King's 'The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger' and away you go on a weird strange and magical time. It's a series that is kind of hard and challenging; something that is totally voice wise different to a regular Stephen King novel. I highly recommend to you to go and read The Dark Tower series. I don't think it'll ruin the experience of the first film because I think they meshed and have omitted a few things to best fit for a movie.

The new trailer dropped today actually (At least I think it was today. I noticed on twitter and a few other places it's new.) and I have to say that I'm really looking forward to it. I should put a warning up I'm not a total fan when it comes to everything Dark Tower; I do know there is a ton of things that cover The Dark Tower. The first book was kind of slow and difficult for me. That has happened a few times when I'm reading Stephen. He's kind of hit or miss sometimes with his writing. Though I would say that this is by far something that is totally seperate from his usual set up and flow of his novels. Making it a pretty challenging time even for those liking and use to his voice, and the way he does things.

The trailer though looks very cool and even though I'm wondering what they did change an how they did change it I'm excited. This series connects to his whole world. Stephen back in the day before Marvel and the DCEU and all those realms that studio's are pulling things together and making he did it. Not thought out or planned he first started to connect the dots not knowing till a few fans mentioned this or that. It wasn't until Insomnia came out that it was really put together.

That novel actually details the Tower and what the Lizard King wants and is doing. I know that Bag of Bones covers the number 9. I know that The Stand
is where The Man in Black is mentioned as he's a character from there. Now due to property rights and what not I don't know if they will be allowed to connect the dots. Some of his stuff is over at Warner and since they are making this film they can put things in there. They did show a bit in the trailer of The Shinning and It. That is easy to do. The Stand is over at the studio as well and could be brought in with out a problem. Would be cool to see as a side deal The Man in Black in that film.

I wonder though what they are going to do with The Talisman and Black House? These stories are a part of The Tower. The third and should be final book is actually being written as we speak. King has said he has made an outline and Straub is going to write it. Be cool to see how it all ends.

Are you a Gunslinger fan? Are you looking forward to it? Head here for the trailer. Stupid I can't put it here. Seriously!
