Part 2

Welcome back! I know this is the final and last part of the review of the CW’s Arrowverse. Basically it’s covering Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow. While one is still new and fresh the other is old and well could be into some trouble. So once again let's dive back in!

Arrow

Arrow has been around for a long time now and the quality has been well not always there. This year though was supposed to be a reset of sorts. Not only does Oli have a new crew and new set of problems in becoming Starling City Mayor. Which isn’t a bad thing. I think that it’s interesting that they would let him become top official and in hopes to clean up the city. The flashbacks have become a bit better even though we know he survives and what he becomes. At least we get to see the russian part which I must say the first part of the show that was interesting tid bit to drop.

Flashpoint has only really affected this show and Flash. The other shows have gone untouched. Legends hasn’t really played into this and Supergirl is in a different earth so no way it could touch him. Now having changed Diggle’s daughter to a son has interesting things. It now touches though in line with the Legends episode from last year when Sara goes back to Starling and finds that Oli is alive but not the Green Arrow...Diggle Jr is.  Maybe in some way that is in the future which would be an interesting out point for the show.

Prometheus though is an interesting villain and while we know the red-herring the writers were trying to pull just didn’t work. It was a weird and basically strange red herring. Like they were trying to hard to throw you off. I hope though that we get to know more about this character and who it is.

The last part though having Laurell come back and thru the trailer for the upcoming episode it’s safe to say that she’s not the Laurell we know. Her becoming a villain is going to be a whole lot of fun. Seeing how everyone reacts and how Oli is going to handle this.

I’m hoping this show and this season shows that they can step out of the Batman shadow and have the character stand on it’s own once again. That they can deliver us some twists and turns. If they can’t I’d plan on one more season and then let it go.

Legends of Tomorrow

This is the one that I always thought of as an odd show. That it was trying to be something and yet it wasn’t. The first season is an alright show. You have to remember that there is no comic’s to fall back on. This is the producers and showrunners show. Then at the end of the season with Mr. Cold sacrificing himself I thought it had hit a moment and became a really cool show.

Then this year hit and it became really silly, and just didn’t take itself serious. I love this show and it’s over the topness and am glad they are just going with it. The characters and those new mesh very well. Now that they have a background and something to pull from. Finding it hilarious that they found Rip Hunter in the past. Making sci-fi films and may have caused Star Wars.

Now that this show’s moving behind Flash I think is a good spot for it. It’s a very vibrant show and a great companion for Flash. Be fun to watch two hours of superhero shows that night. Like the other shows this is one I’m very interested in seeing and is my second favorite show of the four.

That is part two of the state of the arrowverse. I have been enjoying all four of these shows and while I do find them distinct they do have their weakness and pluses over each other. They are also a very interesting group of shows and universe. My favorite part isn’t shocking though the team up week. The visuals to the production of those four episodes were awesome. It was cool to see how they pulled that off. Though it did seem a little rush but then again they only have four hours to tell their story.

Just one final note there is supposed to be a new TV show out there adding to the DC tv line up. We don’t know if it’s on Fox or one of the other channels...or here at CW. I’d love really seriously for them to actually make a Justice League style show. Something maybe a limited thing. I don’t know how they would make it or when exactly but it would be cool if they went ahead and formed a kind of Justice League style thing. That would be awesome. I know it’s busy and long hours. I get that but still though be cool if they become a kind of supergroup.
